Genius UP Refund & Session Policy

1. No Refunds After Package Activation

Once a tutor has been allocated and sessions have started, the package is considered activated and is non-refundable.

This is because:

  • Our tutors reserve time slots in their weekly schedules specifically for you, limiting their ability to take on other students.

  • Administrative work (matching, onboarding, and coordination) is completed before your first session even begins.

For these reasons, once your tutor allocation is confirmed, refunds cannot be issued - even if you do not complete all your sessions.

2. Package Validity Period

Each package has a specific validity period from the date of purchase to ensure fair scheduling and tutor availability.


Unused hours will automatically expire after the validity period unless extended by agreement.

Package Hours - Validity Period - Extension Option

  • 3 hours Package -  30 days (Not extendable)

  • 5 hours Package - 45 days (Not extendable)

  • 10 hours Package - 90 days (May be extended to next term on request)

  • 20 hours Package - 120 days (May be extended to next term/semester on request)

Extension requests must be made before the expiry date. Once expired, unused hours cannot be reactivated.

3. Rescheduling & Cancellations
  • Sessions may be rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours or missed sessions without notice will be counted as completed hours.

  • Repeated short-notice cancellations may affect tutor availability going forward.

4. Exceptional Refunds

Refunds are only considered in exceptional cases, such as:

  • Duplicate or accidental payments.

  • Inability of Genius UP to provide a suitable tutor within 14 days of purchase.

5. Agreement

By purchasing a Genius UP tutoring package, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Refund & Session Policy.
